Styx: Shards of Darkness is the upcoming sequel to developers Cyanide Studios’ stealth cult-classic, Master of Shadows. The game is set to release on both consoles and PC later this year and if you plan on picking this game up then you’ll want to take a look at these new screenshots that showcases some of the dangers you’ll face along the way.

The images came from a press release that details two of the enemies that will be present within the upcoming Master of Shadows sequel. First up we have the Dark Elves, which were a group of Elves that evolved after dealing with generations of life without any amber.

After lacking amber for generations, the Dark Elves found themselves growing fanatic and bloodthirsty. These foul creatures also found skills with Quartz fabrication, a new and dangerous source of power.

Korrangar is another dangerous area that will task players with a great challenge. This area is the home of goblin hunters which are stout and powerful Dwarves. With a sense of smell that is second to none and incredible tracking skills, you’ll have to maneuver around these individuals with the greatest of care, otherwise, prepare for a massive battle.

According to the press release, these are just a small taste of the different enemy types players will face during their journey. You can pick up a copy of Styx: Shards of Darkness for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, at some point later this year.
