New details are coming in about The Division‘s 1.2 Update. This Q&A session is just one example of that. There was an official livestream today for the new update content, and it revealed more details about what you can expect.

There are High Value Targets and Search and Destroy missions. Across all safe houses, Search and Destroy missions become available when all content in the zone is cleared.  Level 30 agents are tasked with taking out groups of enemies to acquire Target Intel, which can be spent to obtain High Value Target missions. High Value Targets are 30+ enemy elites. The Base of Operations will have NPCs that provide six daily and four (more difficult) weekly missions associated with these targets.

To raise the stakes even higher, High Risk Targets are available among the High Value Targets. If you die during a High Risk Target attack, you have to rebuy that target mission to try again. But you get better rewards for successfully completing those missions.

Also previously mentioned was the ability to hijack an extraction. After loot has been secured to the helicopter rope, another player can betray your group and cut the rope to grab the bag. The instant a player interacts with the bag, they become rogue.

Sealed Caches can now drop from named enemies, containing mystery items. It needs to be extracted like other Dark Zone stuff, but it can offer Dark Zone credits, to a variety of rare Gear sets, with the rarity depending on the difficulty level of the enemy it came from.
