VR is still around and making some great strides. If you haven’t tried one of these devices out, it’s hard to put in words just how the experience is. This is one of those; you gotta try it to understand it, in my opinion. However, if you’ve been kicking around the idea of finally diving into the gameplay experience yourself, maybe this Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition might be something of interest.
Microsoft has been on a massive push lately. They have moved away from gaming being tied to just a specific platform. For some time now, we’ve seen Microsoft embracing other platforms alongside its own. Xbox exclusives are seeing new life with releases on once-rival platforms. But beyond that, Microsoft is looking to make just about anything with a screen, an Xbox.
Cloud gaming has been a significant pillar for the company, allowing players to enjoy the latest-generation games on a range of devices, from tablets and phones to Smart TVs and even VR headsets. In fact, the first-ever limited edition Meta Quest VR headset was unveiled today through the official Xbox Wire.
Microsoft has partnered up with Meta to introduce the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition into the marketplace. This VR headset comes packed with everything needed to start enjoying the latest Xbox games. Priced at $399.99, you’ll find the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition will come with a carbon black and velocity green, an elite strap, matching Touch Plus controllers, and a limited-edition Xbox Wireless Controller. Furthermore, you’ll be hooked up with three months of Meta Horizon+ and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
It’s worth noting that you can connect other Xbox Bluetooth controllers; it’s just that this controller in the bundle is designed around the limited edition Quest VR headset. Of course, having Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will allow you to play these games and keep your save progression across other platforms beyond just your VR headset.
It’s worth noting that the VR headset is now available on Meta, Best Buy, Argos, and EE. However, as noted in the official Xbox Wire post, this device is extremely limited, and once they are gone, there are no plans for another release.
