Want to see Gears of War 3's Forces of Nature map pack in action? You're in luck, as Microsoft has sent over a whopping ten promo videos for the DLC pack, offering a flythrough and gameplay footage of each of its five maps.
The last DLC currently planned for the Gears 3, Forces of Nature features a selection of brand new and returning Gears of War 2 maps, all of which are playable in both competitive and horde modes. As a unique twist, each map features an natural disaster that kicks in partway through the match, mixing up gameplay in the process.
The first map, Artillery, takes place in an abandoned military base and features a tornado that rips through the level, making quick work of anything in its path.
Next, we've got Aftermath, a ruined cityscape that gets a bit more ruined when an earthquake hits midway through the match, knocking over some walls in the process.
Then there's Cove, which is set in an industrialized pier. This map features low flying fog that rolls in during the game, greatly reducing visibilty and keeping everyone on their toes.
Next up is Jacinto, a Gears of War 2 map that's been remade and given a gloomy facelift. Its environmental twist is a rainstorm that kicks in partway through the match.
Finally, we've got Raven Down, another updated version of a classic Gears of War 2 map. As in its previous incarnation, the battle centers around a downed King Raven helicopter, but things will be mixed up a bit when a blizzard hits.
The Forces of Nature map pack is out on the Xbox Live Marketplace on March 27 for 800 Microsoft points, or $10.
