Assassin’s Creed III Screenshots Show off Cityscapes and Wilderness

Assassin's Creed III is poised to bring the war between the Templars and the Assassins to the shores of North America. Set amidst the American Revolution, Desmond delves into the memories of a much more recent ancestor.

You'll stalk the British Redcoats in the streets of New England towns, and hunt for prey both animal and man in the snowy wilderness.

A host of four five new screenshots for Assassin's Creed III has surfaced, showing off the game's new locations, which appear to take place in a city and the outlying New England wilderness. Needless to say, the game looks better than ever, and we expect to see more in the days and months to come.

Assassin's Creed III is set for a 2012 release for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 console platforms.
