There has been a lot of chatter online lately when it comes to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The game was supposedly either getting a remake or a remastered edition, but we’re not sure what exactly is in the works. That’s ultimately because Bethesda has been tight-lipped on this game. Without an official announcement, all we have to go off from is rumors. We should see the game release next week if one rumor proves accurate.
It might be getting close to time for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to finally launch. The game was rumored to have a new release sometime this month. What makes it interesting is that this is supposedly a shadow-dropped game. We don’t have any marketing materials to hype up the launch. Instead, it looks like Microsoft and Bethesda might drop this into the marketplace to create a real buzz.
If successful, we could see the game take over social and streamer channels for a good while. But, again, that’s just a rumor right now. Thanks to VGC, we’re finding out that Jeff Grubb, a reliable industry insider, has again mentioned the upcoming shadow drop release on a podcast. According to Jeff, from what he has heard, the game will drop within the week of April 21.
So, we could be just days away now from a very notable RPG release. What makes things a little more interesting is that some screenshots were apparently leaked. On Reddit, a post uploaded screenshots of the supposed new release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. You can get a potential look at the game and how it has been enhanced. Again, we’re still waiting for confirmation, but if it’s set to be a shadow drop, we’ll wait for its sudden appearance in the marketplace. Maybe this will help tie some players over until we finally get our hands on the next mainline Elder Scrolls game.
