Get ready for the next Xbox Games Showcase. The annual event is continuing, and this time, we have confirmation that the stream will be taking place on June 8. This is just one of several likely press and media events that will be happening within the month or not long after. Here’s what we know so far.
Taking to the official Xbox Wire, Microsoft confirmed that this year’s Xbox Games Showcase will happen on June 8. You are likely aware of this event. It’s an annual showcase where Xbox and various first-party and third-party studios showcase what is coming into the marketplace. That’s about all we know so far about the show format this year.
It’s noted that this is an online event, so no matter where you’re located, you can sit in and watch the stream. Specifically, the stream is said to happen on June 8, 1 PM EDT. So, you’ll want to check your time zone to see when to prepare for this showcase. Unfortunately, we’re not told just how long this event will last, so it’s anyone’s guess how many announcements and updates will happen.
Much like in previous years, another showcase will be held right after the main Xbox Games Showcase wraps. This year, we’re getting a deep dive into the upcoming RPG, The Outer Worlds 2. Obsidian Entertainment is coming off their Avowed game release, but we knew they were also working on a follow-up title for The Outer Worlds.
So, right after the main showcase, we’ll get to sit in and see what the folks at Obsidian Entertainment have been cooking up for this franchise. We’re sure there will be some announcements on what games will and won’t be featured before the showcase takes place, but for now, you can at least mark down your calendars for when the stream will kick off.
