We’re always down for these musical experiences. It’s not uncommon for events to pop up, playing your favorite music soundtrack from video game franchises. Last year, Sony revealed that they were doing the very same thing. The PlayStation: The Concert event was unveiled, showing dates worldwide, focusing on the iconic music of some of Sony’s biggest franchises.
This event was said to be more of a visual and immersive experience. So, outside of the music, production companies worked to bring the audience into these incredible video game worlds. With several visual displays and lighting, it was a concert that PlayStation fans would want to sit in and experience. Unfortunately, Sony is having some issues getting this show off the ground.
Thanks to VGC, we’re finding out that there are multiple reports online about various concert dates either being delayed or canceled. It’s left us and plenty of others wondering what’s going on. There’s potential that some of these dates are just being pushed back, giving the audience nearby a chance to check the show out later on. Of course, there are still plenty of questions left to be answered.
Some dates seem to be intact, with seating available. So, the dates seem to be hit-and-miss right now. Going to the official website portal for the concert still shows the various dates for April and May. Likewise, more dates are coming soon with other areas worldwide. We’ll just have to wait and see if the show still starts as planned in Dublin, Ireland.
That said, if you would like to see the trailer highlighting the upcoming show, you can view it below. We know that a wide variety of video game soundtracks are said to be featured. Some of those soundtracks include Helldivers 2, Bloodborne, The Last of Us, God of War Ragnarok, and Ghost of Tsushima.
