Resident Evil fans might have a welcomed surprise drop today. If you mainly enjoy video games on the Mac or iPhone and even iPad platforms, check out this game. It looks like Capcom finally decided to bring Resident Evil 3 onto the platforms. Hopefully, this will keep you playing away until that next major title on your radar makes its way out.
Thanks to the folks over at Comicbook, we’re finding out that Resident Evil 3 is now available for the platforms mentioned. That game took its time to release, initially coming out in 2020. But regardless, it’s finally here for you to enjoy. Capcom has been making an effort to bring their Resident Evil games to devices like the iPhone, despite some of the games not doing all that well on the platform.
If you recall, Resident Evil 7 was found to be bought by less than 2,000 people. However, if you were interested in Resident Evil 3 and didn’t have the means to play it, this new release might change that up. The game can be purchased through the official App Store. It’s also noted to work with all iPhone 16 models and iPhone 15 Pro models. Additionally, those with an M1 chip or later for iPad and Mac can also enjoy the game.
You can view the official iPhone, iPad, and Mac release trailer below. But if you need a refresher of the game, we do have a Before You Buy video. Overall, the game follows the events after the first game as you step back into the role of Jill Valentine. Jill is investigating Umbrella for what happened in the previous installment when a sudden new viral outbreak turned Raccoon City into a cesspit of undead. Players are then forced to find a way out of the city all while a new BOW actively hunts Jill down.
Unfortunately, we’re still waiting to learn what Resident Evil 9 will bring to players. A new industry insider report suggests the new game will have some big changes.
