Team Ninja Is Aware Players’ Rise of the Ronin Saves Are Disappearing

Rise of the Ronin might have been on your radar since it was first announced. But you were out of luck if you didn’t own a PlayStation 5. That was until this month, as the game finally made its way onto the PC platform thanks to the folks at Team Ninja. Now, players who are going through the game are finding a very annoying issue. It turns out that more than a few players are discovering that their saved game data is disappearing. Leaving them with hours of gameplay completely lost.

No one likes seeing their save game data corrupted or outright vanished. But that’s the unfortunate experience players are dealing with in Rise of the Ronin. Several reports online from players stated that they turned on the game only to find that all the progress made previously had been for nothing. Save games are disappearing left and right. So it might be best to hold off playing Rise of the Ronin.

Fortunately, the developers are not staying silent. While fans have been commenting on the Steam forums to vent their frustrations, Team Ninja took to X. The development studio has revealed on the social media platform that Rise of the Ronin Steam edition issues have caught their attention.

Unfortunately, it didn’t come with a clear fix. Instead, they noted that they were aware of the problem and are currently investigating the issue. However, they also provided some tips on potentially fixing the problem. It’s not a guaranteed fix, but it will at least give you a chance to recover your saves if you find them missing.
