You hate to see it sometimes, but a game found its storyline and details leaked before launch. Of course, no one hates this more than the developers working on these games just to see the wind taken from their sails. Today, we’re finding some big spoiler footage circulating online for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Don’t worry—we’re not going to be spoiling anything here. Instead, those who wish to learn more about what’s in store for them will have to browse our source at Reddit. But it looks like some spoiler footage leaked online for the game, which might dampen the thrill of the storyline when you play it. While it’s not uncommon for some video games to circulate in the public a bit before launch, it’s not common to see it this far out.
We’re not supposed to get our hands on Assassin’s Creed Shadows until March 20, 2025. Developers have been working hard to ensure this game’s success and help turn things around for Ubisoft. As a result, we’ve seen the game pushed back a couple of times to allow the team a solid chance at getting everything right for its debut in the marketplace.
So, we can imagine the fire alarms going off at Ubisoft over these leaks. But with that said, these leaks might not fully represent the final game. We’ll likely see some updates to get the game to the studio’s ideal shape at launch. Of course, even without these updates, some fans have been pleasantly intrigued with the gameplay shown so far.
Reception will be a bit all over the place right now, as most fans are just getting a look at leaked gameplay footage rather than having hands-on experience with the game. Again, we have a little way to go before the official launch. As a reminder, the game is releasing on March 20, 2025, and it doesn’t appear developers are in any fear of a new delay pushing the game further back.
