In case you didn’t catch the news earlier this week, there was confirmation from the development team at Avalanche Software that mod support was being offered for Hogwarts Legacy. Fortunately, that update is now here, and you can get to enjoy some new content for this action RPG. However, this update brings more than just mod support to the PC platform.
Thanks to Insider Gaming, we’re getting a look at some of the updates being added to the game. Overall, the update deals with raytracing. Players fortunate enough to work with the latest Nvidia RTX 50 series GPUs will now have a few more goodies to adjust within the settings. You’ll find that more options directly deal with raytracing, so you ultimately have control to determine how the game should look and make adjustments to ensure performance isn’t taking a hit.
Additionally, there is now support for DLSS4 and Ray Reconstruction technology, with the added benefit of Multi-Frame Generation technology. Of course, for others, the main reason they will be excited to install the latest update for the game is to gain access to official mod support.
As a reminder, mod support is only featured on the PC platform. Developers even contacted some skilled modders ahead of the update’s release so that there would be some notable content available for players right when this update dropped.
Of course, if you have not picked up this game, it’s been a well-received action RPG experience. Taking place well before the events of the Harry Potter novels, Hogwarts Legacy puts you into the role of a student at the iconic Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, just as you’d expect, there’s a sinister plot that can only be thwarted by you and the help of the friends you made.
Currently, Hogwarts Legacy is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch platforms. Meanwhile, you can read the entire patch notes for the latest update right here.
