We can’t wait to get our hands on quite a few video games this year. However, there are also a few adaptations we’re excited to sit in on. One of those is the second season of The Last of Us. With the first season stealing the attention of hardcore gamers and those who haven’t touched a controller alike, this second season will undoubtedly have plenty of views when it debuts. Fortunately, we have a new trailer that just dropped online, and with it came new details on when we can expect the new season to debut.
This latest trailer offers more snippets of footage, some of which we’ve already seen in previous marketing materials. However, the main focus of the trailer is to showcase the fact that we’ll be getting the first episode in April. Unfortunately, there’s no specific date in April as to when we can expect the show. But at the very least, we have the debut month now to keep an eye out for.
For fans of the video game series, we know some of the big moments likely inbound for the new season. Of course, some moments that are unique to the show or that further expand on character storylines are bound to be added. But we’ll have to sit tight and wait for April to finally roll by before we can dive right back into this drama narrative.
Of course, if you are not already aware, this upcoming second season won’t feature the entire storyline of The Last of Us Part 2. That video game was massive, and the season won’t try and rush through the narrative. Instead, we should see another season come out to help continue this narrative. If we’re lucky, the next season will get the green light before the second season wraps, which should at least reassure us we’ll see more of the story unfold before the season finale airs on HBO.
