It’s honestly a bit ironic that we’re still talking about Splatoon 3, given that the game had its “Grand Festival” months ago, and that was meant to be “The End” of its main content. To be fair, there haven’t been any true updates since that festival went down, and we’re still awaiting the “fallout” of Team Past and the Squid Sisters winning the event. However, Nintendo seems to understand that plenty of people simply love playing the game, even if it’s only for a weekend or so, and that’s why it keeps bringing back the Splatfests and Big Run events.
For those who do indeed enjoy partaking in those, we have some great news for you! In light of the “holiday season” that we are in, Splatoon 3 is dropping a “FrostyFest” in the opening weeks of January with an appropriate theme to tie it all together. Specifically, “What Would Make You Happiest?” Here are your options:
Yes, it’s one of the more classic holiday debates, as we have the “true meaning of the holidays” versus things that are more physical in nature yet could potentially change lives.
Let’s start with money. The fact is that about 99% of humanity could always use more money, and that’s okay to say. While we often make phrases about how “money isn’t everything,” it is something that is vital to everyday life. You can’t buy video games without money, after all. So, for some, money would be the choice, for if they had enough of it, they wouldn’t have to worry about many pitfalls in life ever again.
Then, there are the memories/experiences we have that stick with us forever. A “hallmark moment,” if there ever was one. For some, these are what help get people through the day or give them something to look forward to in the upcoming weeks and months. For even if you are having a rough period, there’s something in the distance that you’re seriously looking forward to. Then, after you experience it, you’ll treasure it forever.
Finally, there are presents! Yeah, that’s something everyone likes to get in this current season, and why not? What’s wrong with being excited for gifts that come from someone close to you? They are an expression of love and gratitude and can highlight how well people listen to you because you’ll know really quick if they got you a lame gift!
Regardless of what you pick, this will be an interesting Splatfest to unpack when it starts on January 10th.
