The hype for Nintendo Wii exclusive The Last Story has been growing at a constant rate amongst the console’s faithful throughout 2011. Fears initially arose that the game won’t see a launch within North America but, thanks to publisher XSEED Games, hopes for the game being localized within the region has been met with a reward; The Last Story has finally received a confirmed North American release, as well as a launch window.
The action role-playing game’s United States publisher, XSEED, has announced that The Last Story will indeed be releasing in North America sometime during this summer via a partnership deal with Nintendo.
Hironobu Sakaguchi, CEO of developer Mistwalker, said on the news:
I am very happy to be able to confirm that The Last Story will be released in North America. XSEED Games has a reputation for bringing high-quality JRPGs to America, and I'm sure they will do a great job with this release too.
The Last Story is currently being headed by veteran Hironobu Sakaguchi with the help of Nintendo. The story will see players having control of a group containing mercenaries who will embark on a journey following protagonist Zael’s first mission as a knight.
