We’re slowly making our way through the month, and if you’re fond of services like Xbox Game Pass, you know it won’t be too long before we get word of what’s to come. Each month, two waves are typically announced, each containing a selection of games that will be added to the service. While we’re still waiting for the second wave to be unveiled, a new tease from the Xbox Game Pass X account might have already given fans a look at Spyro, which will be among that list.
When Microsoft purchased Activision Blizzard for quite a pretty penny, it left plenty of Xbox Game Pass subscribers excited. All first-party Microsoft games would be on the service, but getting these games onto the service hasn’t been smooth. We’re waiting on quite a few games to land on it, with last month just seeing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 release. That was a huge title for the service, and we’re sure that prompted quite a few newcomers to subscribe to the service. But beyond that, we might have at least the Spyro games coming next.
In 2018, we saw the release of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. That could be featured in the second wave as Xbox Game Pass on X featured a short video of a chest from Spyro. It’s a small tease and that might have some platformer enthusiasts eager to dive into this game if they have yet to do so. Additionally, that might help flesh out Xbox Game Pass a bit more with first-party titles as we head into the holiday season.
After all, the holidays will likely bring an influx of new Xbox Series X/S owners and Xbox Game Pass subscribers. We’ll have to wait and see what is coming to the service for the second wave of this month. But if you have yet to glimpse what was added for the first wave, you can check out our breakdown here.
