Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete Coming In December

October 28, 2024 by Todd Black

The campsite lives on!

As we’ve covered in the past, Nintendo’s “mobile initiative” was designed to help it get its beloved IPs onto mobile platforms for gamers to play and enjoy for long periods. However, their success has been mixed, to be polite. Some of them died honestly rather early, while others have been going strong for years and have made hundreds of millions of dollars. Then, there was a certain campsite title that did well but is getting shut down next month. However, December will bring Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete to help you continue your camping journey.

For those not in the loop, this version is a one-time purchase title that you can transfer all your data from the free version to so that you can keep building up your campsite to perfection. Today, we learned that it’ll be released on December 3rd, and a video link in the tweet below takes you to a 12-minute video that’ll answer any questions you might have about it, the data transfer, the new content you’ll receive in the game, and so on.

To those who want the synopsis, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete will start out being just $10 at launch. However, that’ll last only until January 31st, 2025. By that point, it’ll become $17. A key thing to note here is that this is indeed a one-time payoff to get the game. Once you have it, you won’t need to do any microtransactions of any kind anymore. Everything within the game will be accessible to you by just working the game’s mechanics.

As for the data transfer, you’ll only need to link to your Nintendo Account to get all the items, bells, and so on from the free version you had to the new one you bought. Due to it being the “Complete” version, you won’t need to have a constant internet connection to enjoy it, which is a big difference from the free version. Furthermore, you’ll get to bring in new and old friends via special Camper Cards, and there are new items like Leaf Tokens that are part of the “new features” within the game.

For those of you who liked the mobile games events, you’re in luck, as they will continue, with possibly some new events being dropped in every once in a while.

All in all, anyone who loved the original version will likely want to get the complete version when it drops in December.
