We’ve known for a long time that the Nintendo brand was always something that fans could enjoy because they have so many things to offer said fans. Seriously, The Big N has been doing numerous things in just the last few years alone that highlight just how great it is to be a Nintendo fan. Just look at a certain movie they made that got a billion dollars at the box office! Or, you could look at the two theme parks they’ve set up that have been big hits! So, what’s next for the company? The Nintendo Alarmo. Yes, it’s an alarm clock. Bet you didn’t see that coming.
While you might think this is a bit “basic” for them, it’s actually a bit more complex than you might think, as you’ll see in the reveal video below. You see, it’s not just an alarm clock, but one that will play video game music and sounds to ensure that you get out of bed! How does that work? It has special sensors that will see you in your bed and as you move around. It’ll start by playing music from one of five games. Then, as you start to move around, it’ll play sounds from those games, like Mario getting coins, to help ensure that you are indeed getting up. Once you’re out of bed, the alarm will shut off by itself!
You have to admit, that’s kind of clever, and it’s something that will ensure you get out of bed! Just as important, if you need that little “extra encouragement” to go to sleep, the Nintendo Alarmo will also play “Sleepy Sounds” from the various games to ensure that you get to that nice, comfortable place to clock out for the night. Plus, due to its monitoring system, it’ll keep track of how you do as you sleep. So, it’s not unlike a certain game from The Pokemon Company that also revolved around sleep. Guess they both want you to sleep to the fullest and rise in a special way!
Another key feature of this alarm clock is that it can be set to the internet. By doing so, it’ll get free updates over time, including bringing new games to the mix so that you can have even more access to games and their soundtracks.
One last piece of information for you. You can actually get the alarm clock right now via the Nintendo Store, and it’ll cost you $100 to get it.
