Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Might Add Wildlife

September 24, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

A new job posting has us wondering what Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel will deliver.

Cyberpunk 2077 might have fallen flat on its face when it was first released. CD Projekt Red was hyping this game up immensely, and after their incredible success with The Witcher 3, fans couldn’t wait to dive into this new RPG experience. Well, the game was far from ready, and it required the studio to hone in on fixing the project rather than adding new content. But eventually, the studio managed to turn the game around, and we are going to get a sequel.

The rough start from CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 wouldn’t stop them from pressing on with the IP. We know they are currently working on this game project under the codename Project Orion. However, little to nothing is officially known. Instead, this game will remain from the public eye for now. But that doesn’t stop fans from looking at any details that might surface online for the project.

Thanks to Gamerant, we’re finding out about a new job posting seeking a character artist. Again, we know that Project Orion is in the works, and it’s being developed under CD Projekt Red’s new studio location in Boston, MA. However, their latest job posting on this project indicates that they want an artist who knows the animal form and anatomy. That might suggest that there could be a focus on some more animals in Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel.

The first installment didn’t really offer much in terms of animal life. After all, the game is set in the future in a bustling and crime-ridden city. However, we’ll have to see if this new installment might add a little more nature and wildlife into the mix.

That said, we will have to wait a while before we see marketing materials released for Project Orion. Instead, the next game we’ll likely see from the in-house developers at CD Projekt Red will be The Witcher 4.
