Konami has announced three more games set to be included in Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection, set to be released for PC and Switch. While over 10 early Yu-Gi-Oh! games will be included, only five have been confirmed thus far. It’s unclear when the collection will be released.
The three new confirmed titles are the 1998 Game Boy title Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, the 1999 Game Boy/Game Boy Color title Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories, and the 2000 Game Boy Color title Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories.
As previously announced, each physical copy of the game will contain one of two Quarter Century Secret Rare Harpie’s Feather Duster trading cards.
Over its 25-year history, the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise has remained wildly popular, with the recent mobile title Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel surpassing 30 million downloads within its first three months. The original manga series was written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi and was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1996 and 2004. It has inspired 11 anime series and four films to date, along with the ever-popular trading card game.
So far, the following games are confirmed to be a part of Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection:
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (1988, Game Boy)
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories (1999, Game Boy / Game Boy Color)
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories (2000 Japan, 2002 U.S., 2003 Europe, Game Boy Color)
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists (2000, Game Boy Color)
