My Time at Evershine is the next installment from the talented folks at Pathea Games. The indie development studio has worked on this franchise for a little while now. Players have fallen in love with two installments, those being My Time at Portia and its sequel, My Time at Sandrock. Here’s what the developers have showcased about the game so far.
Pathea Games doesn’t offer much regarding what players can expect with this next installment. Those finer details will come with the official Kickstarter Campaign. Instead, the studio highlighted the official game name in a post on Steam. We know that the next installment is My Time at Evershine, which will hopefully be funded by the gaming community when the Kickstarter Campaign goes live. Unfortunately, we don’t know when that will be, but the folks at Pathea Games are hopeful you’ll join the prelaunch page, which will notify you when the crowdfunding campaign goes live.
We know this studio is aiming for a similar budget to what the team used in My Time at Sandrock. That came out to be around $12 million. It’s noted in the Steam post that the developers were able to use that budget and add in the fine details and deep narratives that players enjoyed from the game. However, they also noted that the resources were spread rather thin even with this budget. So, while the studio is aiming for a goal of $12 million, the hope is that the crowdfunding campaign will exceed that amount.
If they surpass the $12 million goal, the studio will be able to make more decisions early in the game development. But again, we’ll have to wait and see what the plans are when the Kickstarter Campaign opens up. Likewise, it will be interesting to see what incentives are provided for players if they opt to donate to the game campaign.
This wasn’t the only news for the franchise this week. Earlier, we reported on Sandrock Online coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms. Likewise, the official release of My Time at Sandrock is set to launch on PlayStation 4 on September 12, 2024.
