Minecraft developer Mojang is releasing their newest game on Monday! What is it? Well, they're not entirely sure yet. At the moment, it looks like it might be a World War II steampunk RTS shoot 'em up, but it could just as easily be a racing FPS with a post-apocalyptic Candy Land theme. They've still got plenty of time to work out the details.
Let's back up a bit. Starting this Friday, Mojang will be teaming up with the Humble Bundle folks for Mojam, a 60-hour-long game jam for charity. To make things interesting, they're allowing fans to vote on the genre and theme for the game they'll be making. To make things even more interesting, they'll be using both the highest and the lowest voted entries in each category.
They'll be livestreaming the entire development process and selling copies of whatever unholy abomination they make on HumbleBundle.com, with all of the proceeds from the event going to a good cause.
You can catch the rest of the details and vote on the game's genre and theme over at the Mojang blog.
