CD Projekt Red Strategy Going Forward Includes Mobile Gaming

September 3, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

We could see more mobile game releases from CD Projekt Red’s IP.

CD Projekt Red just released some group fact sheet materials for the month. It’s a graphic of their plans going forward and their various finer details, such as share prices and shareholder structure. But what might have some fans interested is that there is some strategy talk about what the company plans to do moving forward.

The folks over at CD Projekt Red have become quite a behemoth with their line of RPGs. With The Witcher franchise and their latest Cyberpunk 2077 release, the company has gained a strong following. So, to keep that following going, they have established a few strategies to hopefully not only appeal to their already established fanbase but continue to reach out and expand. One of those strategic moves is making mobile games.

There are plans to make mobile games, television, and film media with external partners. Nothing is detailed quite yet, but it seems like there are some plans to bring out some mobile titles of their IPs to keep players engaged outside of their mainline releases. With that said, there are still plans to continue expanding their franchises with memorable single-player stories and even multiplayer experiences.

We already know that there are a few projects in the works. For fans of The Witcher we have games like The Witcher Remake along with the next mainline release called Project Sirius. Meanwhile, another installment is coming for Cyberpunk fans with Project Orion. But we can’t forget that another new IP is being developed, Project Hadar. So, even if you’re not a mobile game fan, plenty of other content is in the works for you. We’ll just have to wait and see what CD Projekt Red unveils next, whether that’s a mobile title, a new film adaptation, or their next mainline game release.
