The Rogue Prince of Persia officially launched in early access on PC via Steam on May 27. Initially aiming for a May 14 release, but (wisely) due to the surprise release of Hades 2, the dev team decided to wait a little while to take Steam by storm. Fans have been enjoying the roguelike title, and the devs have revealed what’s coming next – and it’s quite a lot.
Evil Empire has revealed the 2024 roadmap for the game, which can be seen below.
This month, difficulty modifiers were added to the title, along with the Temple Biome, eight new enemies, three new weapons, skill trees, and more. September will see a focus on weapons, while October will see the addition of the Rescue Feature, a Bestiary, and a rework of the Medallion.
In November, players can look forward to new biomes, bosses, and enemies along with an art overhaul and a new story act.
Initially announced during April’s Triple I Initiative Showcase, the Prince of Persia roguelite was developed by Evil Empire, known for its work on Dead Cells.
“Experience a fast-paced, challenging but accessible roguelite as you master acrobatic moves and flow seamlessly between platforming and combat,” the official description reads. “Find new weapons, equip trinkets with special effects and upgrade them to make your own builds. Discover new characters, information and areas as you try to find a way to save Persia from a Hun invasion and become the hero you have always wanted to be.”
