First announced in June, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead promises to be one of the most terrifying games of the year. Based on the films of the same name, stealth will be the name of the game, as the series place in a world inhabited by blind alien creatures with an acute sense of hearing. After months of speculation, Saber Interactive and Stormind Games have announced that the title will arrive on October 17.

“A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a single-player horror adventure game inspired by the critically acclaimed blockbuster movie franchise that highlights a unique survivor story after an invasion of deadly creatures,” the title’s official description reads. “In this exclusive spin-off, experience the journey of a young woman who must endure a treacherous apocalypse in the midst of interpersonal family conflicts, all while coming to terms with her own inner fears.
Last month, IGN revealed 10 minutes of gameplay footage, detailing how quiet players will need to be to avoid detection as they explore.
The first film in the A Quiet Place film series was released in 2018. A Quiet Place Part II followed in 2020 and a spin-off film, A Quiet Place: Day One, will be released in theaters on June 28. The third and final sequel, A Quiet Place Part III, is scheduled to be released sometime in 2025.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on October 17, 2024.
