Following a leak earlier today, Civilization VII was officially announced during today’s Summer Game Fest. The entry is slated to release in 2025 for PC and console, and gameplay footage is set to be revealed this August.

The franchise first launched in 1991 and has sold over 65 million copies to date. The previous entry, Civilization VI, dropped in 2016 and is the best-selling entry to date.
