The limited edition Chaos Shuffle mode in Dead by Daylight was meant to be removed from the asymmetrical horror game today, but that’s no longer the case. According to a new post from Behaviour Interactive on X, the mode will now run until June 3 at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST.
The mode was first added to the game on May 16.
“You’ve already queued up for Chaos Shuffle over 18 MILLION times,” the post reads. “We thought we’d keep it going for a little longer.”
The Chaos Shuffle Modifier constructs player builds completely at random, drawing from all available Perks in Dead by Daylight. It also boosts each Perk to Level 3 for maximum effectiveness.
“Part of the fun is embracing the chaos, even if you don’t always understand the finer points of how your build is operating,” the official website reads. “We hope the Chaos Shuffle leads to players getting a kick out of an unconventional build, discovering interesting synergies, and confounding opponents with the unexpected. You might even come out of this with a new favorite Perk.”
Players can also gain rewards by using the modifier, including a special player Badge, a Banner, and a Charm.
Given the wave of praise coming from the community, Behaviour Interactive may consider making the mode permanent. For now, players will just need to binge the mode while they have the time.
Dead by Daylight has attracted over 60 million players since it was originally released for the PC in 2016. On June 3, the Dungeons and Dragons DLC will be officially released.
