The Xbox-exclusive game Forza 6 will be headed to the PC for the first time ever with the release of Forza 6 Apex Edition. The game’s beta will come out on Windows 10 machines on May 5, Microsoft has just announced. The full release of the game has yet to be revealed.
Posting on Xbox Wire, Microsoft stated that the PC beta will be an incomplete version of Forza 6 that will however offer a “beautiful, high-quality experience.” Presumably, this means the game will look better on the PC than it does on the console, but we’ll have to wait and see.
The game will be able to run on a variety of system configurations. Its publisher has released the system requirements for the game, which range from Minimum to 1080P/60FPS to 4K/60FPS. You can check that out below.
The game’s developer Turn 10 Studios intends to use the beta period to polish the game and get it running well across a wide range of hardware setups. They will also add wheel support and other graphical settings at a later point in time.
Microsoft will also be announcing a new Forza game later this year at E3 2016. We’ll have details when it happens.
