After a brief delay, The Rogue Prince of Persia will officially launch in Early Access on PC via Steam on May 27. Initially, the title was aiming for a May 14 release, but (perhaps wisely) due to the surprise release of Hades 2, the dev team decided to wait a little while to take Steam by storm.
“We are not prideful enough to ignore the implications of that, and we truly believe that this short delay is the best decision for us and our Early Access journey. We also want to give Hades 2 a head start before we start running, it’s only fair,” said Evil Empire on X last week.
“This also lets us keep polishing up the game, add even more cool things and kick some stubborn bugs out before release.”
Check out the release date trailer for the exciting new roguelite below:
“Experience a fast-paced, challenging but accessible roguelite as you master acrobatic moves and flow seamlessly between platforming and combat,” the official description reads. “Find new weapons, equip trinkets with special effects and upgrade them to make your own builds. Discover new characters, information and areas as you try to find a way to save Persia from a Hun invasion and become the hero you have always wanted to be.”
Initially announced during April’s Triple I Initiative Showcase, the Prince of Persia roguelite is being developed by Evil Empire, known for its work on Dead Cells.
