Here’s a quick reminder that you’ll be able to participate in the beta for Gears of War 4, which starts later today. It’s set to run from April 25 to May 1, following a previous, “early access” beta that players who purchased the Gears of War Ultimate Edition could check out last week. Be sure to check out the multiplayer trailer.
The beta is available to everyone with an Xbox Live Gold subscription on the Xbox One. That’s all you need to get in. Simply head into the store and download the title once it goes live.
Microsoft has yet to reveal exactly when it’ll hit the servers, but it shouldn’t be too long from now. By the time you read this post, you might already have access to the beta, so be sure to check Xbox Live just to be sure.
Participating gamers will receive a free Gears of War 4-themed shirt for their Xbox Live avatar and check out the new Dodgeball mode. Items like the Corpser and Brumak will also go on sale, if you’d like to decorate your avatar with useless stuff.
The game itself is set to launch on October 11. It’s exclusive to the Xbox One. There are no plans to bring it to the PC at this time.
