In a new post on the official PlayStation blog, the new Essential games for April 2024 were revealed, and PlayStation Plus subscribers should be thrilled by these hefty additions.
The new titles include Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends, and Skul: The Hero Slayer. These will be available to download on April 2, meaning that subscribers who haven’t grabbed March’s free titles should do so before then. These include EA Sports F1 23, Sifu, Hello Neighbor 2, and Destiny 2: Witch Queen.
Released in August 2023, Immortals of Aveum is a challenging first-person magic shooter shooter for PlayStation 5 featuring quick combat and over 25 unique Spells to unlock. Players can discover, upgrade, and craft hundreds of pieces of magical gear while tapping into 80 unique talents to fight their way across the battlefield while trying to become Aveum’s strongest Triarch Magnus.
Minecraft Legends, available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, is a real-time action-strategy game released in April 2023. This Minecraft spinoff tasks players with defending the Overworld from a terrifying invasion of piglins while strengthening their structures and troops using harvested resources. The title also supports online play for up to eight players, making it the perfect choice for a game night with friends.
The 2021 roguelike-action platformer Skul: The Hero Slayer has been endlessly praised for its soundtrack and playstyle. Players control Skul, a skeleton, as he fights to save demonkind from heroes. It’s possible to swap out Skul’s head for a different one, unlocking different combat abilities across a large number of randomly generated levels.
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for April 2024 will be announced on April 10.
