Nintendo has a big update in console for the Nintendo Switch console, which will be made avaliable for every version of the Nintendo Switch. This update is update Version 18.0.0, which will add a new feature of 15 minutes for the auto-sleep feature for the console while a user is playing on the TV – which is a big deal as usually the console just stays on the whole time.
In the new update, the console will also have Korean added as a supported language for the parental controls in the introduction video and it will have other system improvements as always too.
The official Nintendo Patch notes list the following below of everything that is new in this update.
Ver. 18.0.0 (Released March 25, 2024)
- Added “15 Minutes” as an option for “Auto-sleep when playing on TV” in Sleep Mode Settings.
- Added Korean as a supported language for the “Nintendo Switch Parental Controls” introductory video.
- When the console language is set to Korean, the video can be accessed from Settings > Parental Controls.
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
While the Nintendo Switch doesn’t get as big of updates as it once did, many still believe that Nintendo is planning to release their new console later this year or early 2025 but nothing is official yet. Even if Nintendo was planning to release their console soon, fans wouldn’t know it as the company always waits until their consoles are fully ready to sell before announcing anything.
