38 Studios' first game, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, is being hailed as the second coming of Fable. More correctly, it's being touted as "Fable done right."
Kingdoms of Amalur offers a grand adventure set in the wide open fantasy setting of Amalur, designed and crafted together by D&D Forgotten Realms creator R.A. Salvatore.
Players can adventure through this wide open setting, which is replete with dungeons, monsters, and hoards of loot. Some of these treasure chests are guarded not only by monsters, but by spells. These spells must be dispelled before you can access them.
The first thing you need to know about dispelling chests is that unlike regular locks, these puzzles operate on a timer. There is a circle that rotates around a circumference upon which there may be a number of glyphs. Glyphs come in the form of single bars, double bars, and triple bars.
In order to solve the puzzle, you must tap your control whenever your circle hovers over one of the glyphs, tapping each of them before the timer runs down. Just make sure you tap the single bars before the doubles, and the doubles before the triples.
A video guide by Pyrostasis (seen below) should explain how this works.
