Square Enix and IO Interactive have revealed the launch trailer for Hitman – Episode Two ahead of its launch next week.
Episode Two takes place in the Italian town of Sapienza and Square Enix described it as follows in a press release:
“The beautiful, sun-drenched coastal town of Sapienza is full of new challenges and packed with opportunities for the creative assassin to explore. Your main target is Silvio Caruso, a brilliant bioengineer reportedly working on a DNA-Specific virus able to infect anyone anywhere in the world.”
Locations around the town include a mansion, alleyways, shops, and a medieval church. Sapienza was originally due to launch when Hitman did but was delayed to this month when IO switched to the episodic formula. Agent 47 will have a range of new items at his disposal, including a speedboat and an inflatable crocodile.
The next episode, set for release in May, will whisk players off to Marrakesh, Morocco. Hitman currently includes the game’s Prologue, which is set in a secret International Contracts Agency (ICA) base, and the first mission set during a fashion show in Paris.
In our review of Hitman’s first episode, we said, “Hitman offers a myriad number of ways to eliminate targets from the obvious to the devious to the subtle and you can strive to find these on your own or discover the options open to you in the game’s Challenges page. Given the relative scarcity of content contained within the first episode, the allure at this point is finding new ways to get the job done and improving on what you thought was your best.”
Hitman is available digitally for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A retail version will be released next year.
