Capcom Gauging Fans’ Interest In Other Franchise Remakes

February 6, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Capcom is rolling out a new survey.

Capcom has quite a lengthy history filled with incredible games and franchises. Some franchises haven’t seen the light of day in a long while or even the same amount of attention in the limelight compared to others. So Capcom hopes that they can get a better idea of what fans are hoping to receive exactly. Today, we’re finding out about a new survey put out through Capcom asking players to vote on a few games and franchises.

The survey that fans are being asked to complete includes various questions. There are some generic questions regarding particular tastes in gameplay experiences and their overall thoughts on Capcom. However, some fans might be interested in participating because there are questions about specific franchises and their hopes for what the future will hold for them. To give you a bit of insight into what’s being asked, we’ll list down the questions and choices that might be of interest.

For starters, one of the questions asks on what games series from Capcom that they wish to see a spinoff game, a sequel, or a completely new installment. The options being featured in the survey can be found listed below.

  • Darkstalkers
  • Okami
  • Onimush
  • Ace Attorney
  • Street Fighter
  • Sengoku Basara
  • Dino Crisis
  • Dead Rising
  • Devil May Cry
  • Dragon’s Dogma
  • Toraware No Paruma
  • Vs. Capcom
  • Resident Evil
  • Final Fight
  • Breath of Fire
  • Ghosts’ n Goblin
  • Monster Hunter
  • Lost Planet
  • Mega Man
  • 1942

Meanwhile, it’s also asked if there are any franchises or games that players would like to see Capcom make and remake with the latest technology. This could include new character designs and even a story direction. The choices Capcom has provided for this will be found below.

  • Onimusya 1,2, and 3
  • Ace Attorney 1, 2, and 3
  • Commando
  • Rival Schools
  • Nijirocho No Kiseki
  • Final Fight
  • Breath of Fire 1, 2, and 3
  • Gargoyle’s Quest 1, and 2
  • Megaman 1, 2, and 3

While the votes will help give you a chance to voice your opinion on where Capcom should go and improve, there are some incentives to participate in the votes. Capcom is handing out prizes to select voters. Furthermore, it’s been confirmed that the results of the survey will be unveiled later on. That should help indicate what franchises, in particular, fans are hopeful to see put in the limelight or stay within the focus of the teams over at Capcom’s offices.
