Guile is arguably one of the most recognizable characters in the Street Fighter franchise. First making his debut in Street Fighter II as one of the eight World Warriors, fans quickly took to the character and his story arch. Now gamers who own the latest installment of the Street Fighter franchise, Street Fighter V, will receive Guile completely free this month.
According to a post on Capcom Unity, the developers are bringing back Guile and will have the character retain his abilities that range from his normal attacks to his special moves like the Sonic Boom and Somersault Kick. However, that doesn’t mean Guile hasn’t learned any new tricks since his last appearance.
New to his arsenal is the ability to use a Faultless Move which allows Guile to crouch walk and keep his charge while moving forward. Additionally, the character will also come equipped with his own V-Skill, V-Trigger, and Critical Art.
The Air Force Base stage will also make a return with Guile featuring what’s said to be familiar faces cheering you on within the background. Furthermore, the Capcom post details some other tweaks that have been made for Street Fighter V.
Capcom has developed a new technique for dealing with rage quitters. For players caught quitting consistently then the game will temporarily lock them out from matchmaking for a period of time along with a notice of why they have been locked out.
Speaking of Matchmaking, the Capcom has improved the overall experience. Users should have an easier time creating and connecting to Battle Lounges while also loosening the restrictions on finding opponents which should allow some gamers to find matches a bit quicker.
