EA Accidentally Leaked The Sims 4 Castle Estate Kit

January 11, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Oops.

Those of you who enjoy The Sims 4 might have been waiting for the arrival of the next Kit. If you’re unfamiliar, The Sims 4 has a few different means of DLC. One of the means of DLC is through Kits, which are smaller in nature than what we would typically see in major expansion packs. But these Kits are nonetheless welcomed by the community as they add new exclusive content to the game. With the most recent upcoming Kit, players were able to vote on what this new addition would entail. That voting has since ended, and we know the winner is a Kit based around an enchanted-style Castle theme.

Since the voting had concluded, fans have been waiting to see when this Kit would arrive. There hasn’t been much said from the developers on the matter, either. However, a recent leak from EA gives fans a look at the Kit and indicates that we might be seeing this content arriving in the game sooner rather than later. Thanks to a report from Dexerto, we’re finding out about the leak, which an X social media user, The Hendford Hen, captured.

The screenshots that were shared on the EA App showcased the castle and some decor outside, including a moat. We imagine there will be some interesting builds with this Kit as the castle does look like it opens up the possibilities to remake some of your favorite medieval settings from films and television shows. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see just what will be featured when the game does receive this Kit theme.

I’m sure you’re well familiar with The Sims franchise. The Sims 4 launched all the way back in 2014, so it’s been around for quite some time. It’s been released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. However, while initially a premium title for players to purchase, the developers have since transitioned this to a free-to-play experience. As a result, we are seeing more downloadable content packs released to help support the title. We’re still waiting on the next major installment to launch for this franchise, so in the meantime, you can enjoy The Sims 4 right now. While we don’t have a Before You Buy on this game, you can view a trailer below for The Sims 4 when it was officially released as a free-to-play title.
