Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League Will Have Lots of Easter Eggs

January 10, 2024 by Todd Black

Lots to see and hear?

Given all the negative buzz that’s been building around Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League, it might be nice to take a sidestep and talk about something positive within the game. While the recent previews haven’t been “bristling with good news,” some things did stand out that excited some gamers. For example, just about everyone agrees that the cutscenes and the voice acting for the title are top-notch, and that leads to something else that Rocksteady Studios has done. They’ve made sure that their version of Metropolis isn’t just big, but it’s full of Easter Eggs for players to find and enjoy.

In a chat with ComicBook.com, Rocksteady Studios Production Manager Jack Hackett was asked about the Easter Eggs in the game, and he was almost giddy discussing what was in there:

“Oh, we’ve got some good ones, and I’d be lying to you if I didn’t say we set about to mess with people and give them little details and things to find, and I think there’s layers to how we do that in this city. It’s been really fun thinking of the most obscure and fun and little DC details we can add to Metropolis to make it authentic and fun to explore and vivid and true to the comics. So, we’ve loved that. Metropolis is such a different space to Gotham. I’m really looking forward to the video that comes out after release where people will be posting like, ‘Here’s 80 Easter eggs you didn’t know in Suicide Squad,’ and even though I’ll know them, I’m going to watch it and go, ‘Oh, they found it. Oh, they spotted that. Oh, that’s so good.'”

The recent previews have highlighted a few Easter Eggs that have already been spotted. Outside of meeting characters like the “reborn” Poison Ivy or teasing the arrival of Rick Flagg, there is a poster that can be found within Metropolis highlighting Zatanna, who is a magical character in DC Comics that also does performance magic.

Another “Easter Egg” of a sort is that it’s been confirmed that The Riddler is back, and he’ll be doing his puzzles for you to solve. These tend to give background information on characters, places, and events within the world, so gamers will undoubtedly look forward to that.

Whether they look forward to everything else is up in the air. Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League comes out on February 2nd, and we’re curious to see what you find when you play it.
