Today, on the official Dead by Daylight website, it was unveiled that a new Gold Edition is coming along with DLC packs. As mentioned, These new DLC packs will replace original individual chapters that have already been released. You’ll find that this transition will take place on January 8, 2024. So now, until then, you can pick up the individual chapters rather than purchasing them in bulk. There are even current sales so you can pick up these individual chapters at a discount. But again, you will need to get these chapters before January 8, 2024.

It’s worth noting that all the chapters featured in Maddening Darkness Pack are already in the Nintendo Switch base game. Likewise, you’ll find that Of Flesh and Mud and Spark of Madness are featured in the base game for PlayStation and Xbox platforms. As mentioned earlier, a new Gold Edition will offer players the chance to grab multiple original chapters at a discount as they will be bundled together. This new edition of the game will come with all three DLC packs mentioned above, so you’ll get to start the game with a wider selection of killers and survivors.
That said, if you haven’t picked up Dead by Daylight, this is an asymmetric survival horror multiplayer game. Players are going through a one-versus-four setup where players are either a part of the survivor’s team or a killer. The survivors’ goal is to complete a series of objectives to escape the map. Meanwhile, the killer is forced to find these survivors and take them out. Over the years, we’ve seen several crossover IPs where we get maps, killers, and survivors based on other popular horror franchises.
