Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, giving us a first look at the game itself with some proper gameplay footage.
First revealed at E3 in 2010, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a third person shooter set in the near future in locations like Norway, Asia, and the Middle East.
As a futuristic take on the Ghost Recon series, the Ghosts will be fighting an ultra-nationalist group of Russians who've taken over Russia and are invading neighboring countries. The missions take place behind enemy lines as the Ghosts attempt to destabilize the Russians from within.
In the single-player campaign, the player will control a four-man Ghost team consisting of a commando, a sniper weapons expert, a recon, and an engineer. The game also offers multiplayer with up to four players, with a player in the role of each individual character.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is set for release on May 22, and will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Development for Future Soldier on the PC was resumed due to overwhelming requests from gamers—it was cancelled for awhile.
