After his long career that started back in 1996 with the Lakers NBA team, tonight Kobe Bryant will play his last professional game. As fans flood to the Staples Center in Los Angeles to witness the event between the Lakers and the Utah Jazz, gamers can flood to pre-order the upcoming NBA 2K17 Legend Edition, featuring Kobe Bryant.
The fifteen-time NBA All-Star and five-team NBA champion will be honored by 2K Sports by placing Kobe Bryant on the cover of the Legend Edition of NBA 2K17. Through a press release, Bryant stated the following:
It’s a great honor to partner with 2K on the NBA 2K17 Legend Edition. As I walk off the NBA court for the final time, it’s exciting to know my fans can continue to celebrate my lifelong career as a Los Angeles Laker.
This particular edition of the video game is available for only the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One while the regular edition of NBA 2K17 will branch out from the latest generation of consoles for the PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
Besides featuring Kobe Bryant on the cover, gamers will also receive a limited-edition Kobe poster, two Kobe Panini playing cards, a Black Mamba game controller skin, 30,000 virtual currency, three packs of MyTeam cards, one of which will feature Kobe Bryant, digital apparel which includes a pair of both Nike Kobe 11 retirement shoes, a No. 8 Mitchell & Ness Jersey, along with a Kobe Hoodie.
As mentioned, the NBA 2K17 Legend Edition will only be available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 which will cost $79.99. However, if you’re an Amazon Prime Member, you can pre-order it for $63.99.
