See Philadelphia Retaken Zone By Zone In Homefront: The Revolution’s New Trailer

April 13, 2016 by Stephen Daly

Deep Silver details the game’s “Merits” reward system.

Members of Homefront: The Revolution’s community can now participate in the shooter’s Merits reward system, which unlocks exclusive in-game content, publisher Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios have announced.

Anyone registered as a member on the Homefront website will earn Merits simply by logging in and performing simple actions. Doing so will help you unlock a corresponding piece of Red Rebel set Combat Gear which can be used for character customisation in the game’s co-op Resistance mode.

The Red Rebel set offers no practical bonuses and is cosmetic only. Sever Merits are available now but Deep Silver says this number will be expanded on over the next few weeks. To avail of the system, simply visit Homefront’s official website and connect to your gamertag.

Alongside details of the Merits system comes a new trailer titled Hearts and Minds 101. It shows how player action can be used to earn support from the oppressed peoples of occupied Philadelphia where the rebel fights must take on the powerful Korean People’s Army in 2029.

Apex, a fictional North Korean corporation, recently “release” its first financial report to state-sanctioned journalists as it launches the revolutionary Apex aPhone.

It was also recently confirmed that the title will feature TimeSplitters 2 levels through an in-game arcade cabinet. Dambusters, originally called Free Radical, was the developer of the TimeSplitters series. Crytek, which owns the rights to the TimeSplitters series, rejected reports that TimeSplitters 4 was in development two years ago.

Homefront: The Revolution is set for release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 20th.
