See Star Ocean: Integrity And Faithlessness Battle System In Action

April 13, 2016 by Stephen Daly

Producer Shuichi Kobayashi had a special message for fans during Star Log #2.

Square Enix hosted a special live stream video yesterday which offered fans new information about Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. The Star Log #2 video, which you can watch above, explored the game’s battle system and included a new trailer detailing what to expect. Aside from live gameplay showcasing combos, character switching, and both short and long range attacks there was also a special message from producer Shuichi Kobayashi.

The video also included two new character spotlight presentations featuring the gruff Special Forces veteran Victor and the powerful magician Fiore as well as footage of the Kingdom of Langdauq.

The story begins with Fidel Camuze, its protagonist, living on an undeveloped world that is thrown into chaos following first contact with a more advanced space traveling race. The game follows the journey that Fidel and his friends must make in order to protect the emotionless girl Relia who’s at the center of the title’s story. Set between the second and third games in the series, Star Ocean: The Second Story and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, multiple outcomes will be available to players depending on your choices.

North American fans will be able to get their first hands-on opportunity to play Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness at PAX East in Boston from April 22nd to 24th.

Earlier this month Square Enix announced that Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will launch on June 28th, 2016 and detailed the game’s Collector’s and Day One Editions. The standard version and Day One Edition cost $59.99 while the Collector’s Edition, exclusively available through the Square Enix Store, will cost $109.99.
