I can see it now: complaint after complaint on the PlayStation Blog as people unaware of this exlusivity deal struggle to understand why 360 users get the Resident Evil 6 demo on July 3rd and they are being forced to wait until September 4th (5th in EU). Expect the same question week in, week out for eight weeks.
Announced yesterday on Capcom Unity, to even access the demo you must purchase a new copy of Dragon's Dogma. I remember the good old days where demos were used to sell a product,, not as something that we should feel lucky to have (or not have, for two months) and, other than to increase sales of Dragon's Dogma on the 360, I don't really understand how this deal benefits anybody outside of Microsoft.
With that said, it's easy to be short-sighted and forget that, actually, ridiculously "unfair" deals with PlayStation as well, and if I only played PlayStation and I was asked if I'd rather have a short demo or a ton of exclusive fighters in a full game, I know I wouldn't hesitate to say the latter.
A PC demo hasn't even been mentioned at this point, but you can expect more information at some point between July and September. Dragon's Dogma, an open world fantasy game, will be available on May 22nd.
