A PC version of Final Fantasy 15 has yet to be confirmed, but a recent interview with FFXV Director Hajime Tabata shows that Tabata is very much intrigued by the idea of a version of Final Fantasy 15 that takes advantage of the technical power of the PC.
The interview comes courtesy of French site JeuxVideo, with an English translation thanks to Nova Crystallis. In it, Tabata goes on record stating that the reason why he’s interested in a PC version would be to “propel the game to another technical level.”
“I have in mind a version of Final Fantasy XV that is more technically developed,” said Tabata. “I’m quite positive about the idea of developing a PC version, but I would like to make a very different project if possible. The reason I’m interested is that a PC version would propel the game to another technical level.”
A little more than a week ago, Tabata confirmed that there was no simultaneous development of a console and PC version of Final Fantasy 15, and that once the console version is done, they will take a long hard look at the PC.
