Jurassic Park won't be getting a 360 retail release in the UK as originally planned, publisher Kalypso revealed today. Speaking with MCV, a PR and marketing representative said: “Currently we won’t be publishing this on 360 – just on PC. No one else is bringing the game to retail.”
This will annoy people specifically waiting to play the game as a whole via disk, rather than downloading all four episodes individually via Live, or those waiting for the price to be reduced on the physical copy. Whether or not this is a statement on how other collections have done, I'm thinking the Dreamcast Collection and the Xbox Live Collection (with Trials, Limbo and 'Splosion Man), I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem like those are even comparable.
Perhaps it's enough that the PC version is getting its collection still, if it it successful – and I think the relatively recent retail version of Tales from Monkey Island sold pretty well – perhaps we'll see a 360 release after all, although by that point anybody who really wants it will already have it.
