Grand Theft Auto VI Rating Discovery Has Fans Excited For An Official Reveal

October 11, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Could we be close to an official reveal?

Grand Theft Auto VI is easily one of the most anticipated games coming out. We know next to nothing about it officially. However, we have a good grasp of its location and character protagonists, thanks to several leaks. With that said, it’s been a waiting game for Rockstar Games to unveil this next iteration of the long-running series. While we don’t have anything official quite yet regarding its announcement or trailer reveal, a new rating discovery has some fans speculating that we’re close.

Thanks to Reddit, we’re finding out that the Australian Government classification website has unveiled a Grand Theft Auto VI rating. Now, this is just a placeholder as fans quickly point out the rating being MA15+, whereas the previous installments received MA18+. So, this is not the official rating we’ll see with the next iteration of the game. However, fans are excited because the fact we have a placeholder could be an indicator that something in the background is happening. We don’t have long to go before we’re out of 2023, so fingers are crossed that we get something official for the upcoming game before 2024 arrives. We could be nearing the official reveal trailer, and with it could come plenty of details to either confirm or dispute the slew of reports and leaks. That will also bring out several fan videos and posts dissecting everything highlighted in the trailer.

For instance, earlier today, we reported on the potential of Rockstar Games RAGE engine getting an update. That update supposedly makes a series of revamps to the game, such as weather systems, improved day and night cycles, and better overall AI. Then there’s the map we’ve seen recently pop up online from fans who put together what they believe is accurate from the series of leaked gameplay clips that came out to the public.

Regardless, having any kind of trailer would be more than welcome. We’ve waited years since the release of Grand Theft Auto V to see just what Rockstar Games would do next. Grand Theft Auto V also set the bar incredibly high. So, it would be interesting to see if Rockstar Games could surpass the expectations that fans have already set in their minds. In the meantime, we’ll have to continue hanging around Los Santos either in Grand Theft Auto V or Grand Theft Auto Online for a little while longer.
