Super Mario Bros Wonder Expands Demo Kiosk Locations!

October 10, 2023 by Todd Black

Get to your local stores now!

Are you searching for a way to play Super Mario Bros Wonder before its release date on the 20th? If so, you might have seen reports of people finding demo kiosks of the game like in the days of old. Fast forward to now, and not only has Nintendo talked about these demos, but they’ve revealed that they’ll be in more locations leading up to the release! Players have already been enjoying them in stores like Wal-Mart, but now you’ll be able to find them at Target, GameStop, and Best Buy. So if you have one of those stores near you, you know what to do!

Here’s what Nintendo’s website said about the demo: “Check out Mario’s latest adventure, and see how Wonder Flowers shake up the classic platforming gameplay with all kinds of wild Wonder effects. Take your pick from the largest cast of characters ever seen in a side-scrolling Mario game, and hop into the Flower Kingdom with up to 4 players in local co-op. You’ll even get to try some new power-ups, like the Elephant Fruit. You can find the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game demo at select Best Buy, GameStop, Target, & Walmart locations.”

So, as you can see, Nintendo is truly “bringing it,” regarding how far they want to go with their promotion of their upcoming title. Given everything we’ve heard about the game so far, it’s a wise move. We all know that games with Mario can be Game of the Year contenders, but typically, those were the 3D open-world-style games, not the 2D platformer ones. However, previews of the title by respected websites hint that this could change that dynamic. They cite that this is easily one of the most creative adventures Mario has had and feels like both a callback to a classic era while also being something fresh and new.

Even the fans have been getting in on the praise, as those who could play the game early via this demo have said the game looks great, feels nice to control, and that the levels are fun. Oh, and they loved being Elephant Mario, too, but that should go without saying. No matter what, if this positive praise holds, then fans can expect the game to be a smash hit when it arrives in ten days.

The irony is that this won’t be the last title with Mario this year, and some of his crew are getting titles next year.
