Splash Damage’s Dirty Bomb has received its biggest update yet with the release of ‘Rogue en Vogue’ today according to a press release.

Set over five weeks, the update adds a range of new features and sees new merc Aimee hack into a MercServe database in order to discover the identity of the assassin behind the death of Max Bashki, one of her clients.

Here are update’s features:

  • Help Aimee reveal which Merc in Squads is the Culprit;
  • Unlock exclusive Trinkets and Limited Edition Loadout Cards;
  • Decryption Cycles – a limited-time event currency where players earn them by playing in matches, completing special Missions and can also buy them with the existing in-game currency, Credits;
  • Unlock a number of items including the unique Culprit Case at the end of the event for an exclusive Loadout Card featuring a Limited Edition skin for the Culprit
  • Acquire ‘Suspect Equipment Cases’ for the chance to obtain Limited Edition Suspect Loadout Cards for Mercs on rotation each week, and three unique Weapon Trinkets depicting levels of MercSERV security
  • New Cash Shop additions only available for the event, such as the Suspect Elite Cases ($4.99), Skullsplitter Trinket ($4.99) and the Vengeance Obsidian Pack ($14.99)
  • Suspect Elite Cases ($ 4.99): These give players a greater chance of receiving Suspect Loadout Cards for one of the four Mercs on rotation each week, as well as increased drop rates for Silver and higher tier Loadout Cards

Some of the improvements include Ranked Seasons, Private Matches, Surrender & Match Restart functions, improvements to matchmaking, player reporting, and a new anti-cheat system.

The game is available to play for free via Steam. Dirty Bomb’s open beta launched last summer.
