Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Reportedly Pushed To 2024

August 24, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

An industry insider claims the game could get pushed even farther back.

If you’re a Dragon Age fan, then you’ve waited a long time now for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. The follow-up from 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition has been in development for a while now, but it’s still having some trouble. That’s if one industry insider is to be believed. A new report is going around that the game was internally pushed back for later in 2024. Of course, we haven’t officially unveiled a release date yet.

BioWare might still need a bit more time working through the next Dragon Age game. Thanks to a tweet from Knoebel, we learned that recently, Jeff Grubb took to the Game Mess Mornings show and offered insight into what he heard regarding the upcoming Dragon Age: Dreadwolf game. Apparently, the game was slated to release in March of 2024 after being delayed internally from their intended September 2023 launch. However, now Jeff has learned that the game was delayed even more, with the new intended launch happening within the summer of 2024.

'Dragon Age: Dreadwolf' was internally planned for a September 2023 release but got pushed back to 2024. Currently it's planned for Summer 2024 at the earliest but could pushed back even further.https://t.co/0ZmOQQVQKd pic.twitter.com/X9kJaP8Q5N

Unfortunately, that might still be too early for this game to reach its finish line with the development team. It’s noted that Jeff feels that this game could get pushed back even further. Right now, we still don’t have a release date or launch window. But that’s not surprising, as there were just recent changes announced for BioWare. So it’s likely we might not hear anything for this game within the remainder of this year.

Still, over the years, we have seen small little bits of information. In fact, earlier this year, a leaked gameplay footage emerged online showing off action RPG combat. But those of you hopeful that this game is nearing its completion might have to hold on a good while longer. Fortunately, some solid RPGs are in the works right now that will help tie you over until more information emerges online for this game. For instance, September 6, 2023, will see the launch of Starfield on the Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms. Meanwhile, on the same date, you’ll find Baldur’s Gate 3 will see its release on the PlayStation 5 platform.

Currently, we know Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. While we wait for more information to be released publicly, you can view a trailer for the video game embedded below.
